TAT TVAM ASI - Thou Are That
My latest drawing called TAT TVAM ASI (Thou Are That), which is the core teaching of Advaita Vedanta, and really the core of all religions.
Description:
The OM in the left top corner is the source of all there is. The individualized consciousness (middle) is dreaming the world into existence. This dream world contains 2 seekers/scientists who cut out a square from the Tao and are deeply focused on working with the scientific tools on the table. The table is divided into 4 parts: physics, chemistry, mathematics and biology. The scientists only see the table and the tools on the table. They willingly chose to ignore the Tao from which the table emerges and are further cut off from the wider reality by the blinders and headphones.
The dreamer, once he realizes that he is the creator of the dream, starts to remember his true identity. All he has to do is to follow Ariadne's Thread back to the Source. Through right thinking (3rd eye), love/compassion (heart) and right action (hand), the dreamer is able to discern between the world of duality (Maya) and by going through the "Gateless Gate", arrive at the undifferentiated, non-dual Source (OM).
